UNC Basketball’s lone commit in the 2020 class was one of the players that impressed at the NBA Top 100 camp last week
Center Day’Ron Sharpe is quickly making a name for himself on the recruiting circuit with his consistent play. https://www.northcarolinatarheelszone.com/justin-jackson-jersey-c-18.html The center was recently upgraded to a five star recruit by both Rivals and 247 Sports in their updated recruiting rankings and last week he showed why he deserved the honor at a camp.

Sharpe was one of the recruits participating in the NBA Top 100 camp in Virginia last weekend and when it was all said and done, he impressed some analysts.
Following the conclusion of the camp, 247 Sports recruiting analysts Evan Daniels, Brian Snow and Josh Gershon wrote on their top performers from the event. They had a total of 10 players listed in the article and right away Seventh Woods Jersey, the first name on it was Sharpe.

The trio complimented his game https://www.northcarolinatarheelszone.com/harrison-barnes-jersey-c-17.html, calling him a good rebounder and said he’s ready to play in the Atlantic Coast Conference now if he had too. Here is the writeup on Sharpe

The spring tear continued for North Carolina commit Day’Ron Sharpe. What stuck out the most was his consistency and his effort. Sharpe is active, plays hard and competes on both ends of the floor. Sharpe is physically ready to compete in the ACC https://www.northcarolinatarheelszone.com/customize-jersey-c-19.html, as he’s strong, tough and doesn’t mind to battle in the paint. He’s a very good rebounder and is able to get a handful of points every game just by mining the glass. In four games, Sharpe was efficient 29 for 44 from the field, averaging 15 points and reeling in 10.3 rebounds a game.

The trio weren’t the only ones with praise for Sharpe, either. Rivals recruiting analyst Eric Bossi echoed similar thoughts last week while watching Sharpe play.

Bossi tweeted out that Sharpe could be placed on UNC’s team right now and be their best big man this season. That includes four star center Armando Bacot who was a part of UNC’s 2019 recruiting class.
Sharpe has developed into a really good player over the past year, elevating his game to a whole new level.

This should be great news for the Tar Heels who are seeking a dominant post player to run the floor in Roy Williams’ offense. Of course, a big man that rebounds is exactly what UNC likes in their system as they seem to be one of the top rebounding teams in the country each year.
